UAV used against insurgents in Afghanistan can incapacitate suspects from above

A Department of Homeland Security-funded surveillance drone deployed against insurgents in Afghanistan that can also be used to tase suspects from above has been unveiled by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office and will be operational within a month.

“At $500,000 a pop, Montgomery county spent $250,000 to get the UAV. The rest was covered by a Department of Homeland Security grant,” reports KBTX.com.

Although its initial role will be limited to surveillance, the ShadowHawk Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, previously used against suspected terrorists in Afghanistan and East Africa, has the ability to tase suspects from above as well as carrying 12-gauge shotguns and grenade launchers.

“We look forward to utilizing it in a variety of capacities that protect our employees from harm to the extent possible and to enhance the protection to our citizens and their safety,” said Montgomery County Chief Deputy Randy McDaniel.

The ShadowHawk is a 50lb mini drone chopper that can be fitted with an XREP taser with the ability to fire four barbed electrodes that can be shot to a distance of 100 feet, delivering “neuromuscular incapacitation” to the victim. The drone can travel at a top speed of 70MPH and can operate for 3.5 hours over land and sea.

A video clip of the drone shows off its impressive maneuverability as it tails a suspect attempting to evade capture with sophisticated object tracking technology. Another video shows the drone conducting surveillance of two individuals involved in a firearm transaction.

More powerful military Predator drones are already being used to kill American citizens overseas, including 16-year-old Denver-born Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, prompting fears that drones could be used within the United States to meter out extrajudicial punishment, something that surpasses anything George Orwell predicted in 1984.

The fact that the drone was partly funded with DHS grant money further illustrates how the Department of Homeland Security is determined to turn America into a high-tech police state.

While the federal agency openly flouts immigration laws by authorizing illegal aliens to work in the U.S., billions of dollars have been poured into “homeland security needs” for state and local governments to keep tabs on the American people, including the rollout of a surveillance camera network that is now blanketing major cities across the nation.

Even more Orwellian are proposals also being backed by the federal government to turn street lights into sophisticated surveillance tools that can not only record video and conversations, but also have “homeland security” applications including displaying messages that encourage Americans to report on each other as part of DHS’ ‘See Something, Say Something’ snitch campaign.

  1. 500,000 helicopter drones. My AR 10 is ready for some target practice. This will be 250,000 less in Montgomery county losses. All patriots prepare for target practice. Make sure you are far enough away so they do not know you did it.

I disagree with on that. Especially if you do not even live in the area. These devices will not be able to Identify a would be pre shooter. Once you make the shot and take it out you leave the area before they get a chance to stop you.

The great thing about democratic mass movements is that there are so many people working together. On person taking out a drone will have a dozen others protecting his or her back. The NWO doesn’t have a chance.

Well they may have a back up drone in the area that might find you first. Who knows all of what armaments these devices have that they’re aren’t divulging to the public. A cruise missile armed drone might not be unrealistic.

    PROTECT YOUR NEIGHBORHOODS

50-60 lb test fishing line strung between buildings, trees, power poles, street lights, etc.
a couple 1/4-1/2 oz fishing weights and a slingshot.. cost a couple bucks.

knocking out a $500,000 drone for pennies.. priceless!

    Theoretically,

You should be able to box them in with non-metallics like fishing-line!

I would not be too difficult for a radio-hobbyist to pick up what radio frequencies these things communicate on! After all, I seriously doubt these drones would be completely on “auto-pilot” yet. The technology is not quite ready to be able to identify, on its own, anything other than what it is programmed to find. ( In other words: Still requires a human operator with a remote system. ) THAT would be these drones big weakness!!!

RC craft went PCM some 15 years ago.. a transmitter on the same freq wont disturb its instructions because it doesnt have the same Pulse Code signature attached. about all the higher end 4-6-8 channel hobby quality transmitter and receiver pairs have this, it prevented a lot of crashed model planes.. some model jets can be worth thousands.

this is why I think low tech “redneck fly fishin”, its fast cheep and simple.
a wrist rocket launched flying bolo isnt gonna need a real marksman,
someone good with a frisbee golf disk could also snap its friggin rotor, game over.

  6. Patriots need to link up with other patriots to design countermeasures against this police state intrusion.

I would suggest developing something akin to a taser that will short circuit these things, or a highly-directional electromagnetic pulse.

All else fails, mini rockets. We have to develop our own drones that can dogfight these things and blast’em out of the air.

I’m extremely capable of designing these things, and we can do it better than them, and cheaper. We need to build some mini ionocrafts or something that can outperform these things.

  9. If they had only limited the drone to surveillance nature, that in itself is a practical solution that can cost less than operating a real helicopter and paying the crew. Some economy can be made with less risk. But the tazer and 12 gauge bullet capacity is out of normality usage. Thats evil nothing less than that.

The people who pay taxes have to stand up to this abuse and say NO we will not let our tax money finance evil. Saying nothing and doing nothing is just giving them the right to do want they want.

Now in Texas this is? Is that not Rick Perry,s play ground?

another reason to not vote for Perry after all he is governor of that state and if he has let the drone armed with a tazor and 12 gauge bullets fly by like this, it is just an additional reason added to the Big pharma connection?

No ther book or news source can explain everything that’s happening. Non-believers can just sit there and speculate all they want to, with THEIR theories on who attacks who and let’s all hate the Jews ’cause I have no money and they better not come to MY house ’cause my macho fills the whole outdoors blah blah blah.

Unfortunately, the truth is, nobody ever fires shot one in defense of this nation. It is dead as soon as the NAU becomes reality.

  13. This premeditated use of an arsenal (I mean WEAPON) in the community makes living next to a military base seem like a daycare compared to the expressed thoughts of these police “To Protect Their Employees…” To Fight Crime”. Better to get on the good side of some Judges, before this is put into operation. By the way had to research to find out that this is Texas and reported by KBTX Bryan/College Station.

  15. You know, the military and globalists corporations are trying so hard to depopulate people, while at the same time, incorporate drones or robots into battle. Haven’t they seen how this path will turn out for them in the end? There’s this movie called, “Terminator” where humanity is fighting to prevent their extinction from ROBOTS!!!! Granted it was an exaggerated attempt at display how computers and robots, if uncontrolled, can take out their makers in the future. However, with all of these new gizmos they have been breaking out in the past year and the path that they seem to be taking, I see that reality is not too far away from the exaggerated plot. These people are out of control and must be stopped. They want the population extinct and the ability to control the planet or what’s left of it. WHY ARE WE LETTING THEM GET AWAY WITH IT ALL??!!!! THIS MUST STOP NOW!!!!

  16. Gee I wonder if they have these drones shielded against electronic interference. Now if some expert who makes his own EMP pulse weapon manages to ‘pulse’ one of these out of the sky – odds are it won’t make it to youtube because everything else electronic in that blast radius got fried also. 20. Seeing all kinds of bright ideas for solutions here!

One man can create it, another man can surely destroy it!

  21. this is clearly dramatized; the part i don’t think connects-up with real-life is that anyone would conduct a gun transaction when you can clearly both HEAR and SEE this mini helicopter 15-20ft above you.

and yes it would be fairly easy to take down with a rifle, no? u could part them out or repair them for your own control.

what if the occupy protestors had a RC flyer with camera mount streaming, flying over the police lines observing?

  22. Radio control chopper/ one 12ga shot shell do the math!

  23. Oh?

North Korea had already created a a devise that burst-signal EMP charge, that can bring down any high-tech gadget there is. Besides there’s tons of transformers in every street corner that can be turned into and EMP explosion killing any gadgets or electric-wired powered devices on the entire area, shutting down or mostly bursting the fuse forever. Only few people knows that.

Besides any gadgets or controls that is connected to computer or via network is hackable.

Also the one of the thug groups I been talking about that I call the Pirate Protocol has created a hand devise that is similar to the aura-of-effect that is found in the Bermuda/Dragon Triangle that shuts down radar or makes connections lost(really similar to that area of triangle-area), so that devise can be used against these controlled flying drones and these drones will lost track/control from the controlling sources.

If the police go high tech, so does some mobs of people. In my words? None should ever as confident, since these groups are against government tyranny and those who seeks freedom and oppose the government either way. These groups are against anyone outside their agenda.

Now, wouldn’t you think that a Chief Deputy from any police agency, would have “to serve and protect the citizens” at the top of his thought?? But no..it’s not for the protection of the citizens. It’s for the protection of their ‘employees’.
Now you know what these will be used for primarily. Also, you know know why DHS funded half of the cost…well..why WE funded half the cost ..I should say.

Makes ya wonder why and how a police dept in Texas got one of the first ones.
I figure the drones need balance, and enough air TO balance. If you devalue either one, it’s useless to fly. The cameras and different ‘visions’ might make it a little tough to get close enough to utilize without recognition of some sort…but, something can be rigged to a motion detector.
Cause a disturbance in the vicinity of one of these(shoot at it with a .22 ?)..lead them to the trap…or very well placed booby trap..manned or unmanned.
This, although important to keep in mind as relative, is not a significant threat to the big picture that must be focused on…retake rebuild.
